Tendulkar reaches 17,000 ODI career runs

Sachin Tendulkar today became the first man in history to reach 17,000 career One Day International runs. The feat was achieved during the India v Australia ODI match.

Tendulkar made his ODI debut on the 18th December 1989 against Pakistan at the age of just 16 where he was out second ball to Waqar Younis. The little master has now amassed an unbelivable 434 appearances for India as well as representing them in 159 Test matches.

During his limited overs career, so far he has scored 91 half-centuries as well as 44 centuries which is also a world record.
